Lately, I have been exploring that feeling where everything in life just makes sense. That moment when you’re looking at your soulmate and genuinely wondering how you got so lucky. Or it’s gazing out of a plane window in awe of what you are seeing. Maybe you’re driving down the PCH with your best friends and the perfect song playing. Think of those moments that make you feel connected with the energy of life itself. If these moments happened every day, you would wake up every morning feeling so excited to live your life.

This inner calm, your inner joy, is not something to take lightly. It is all too easy to let life pass by without really basking in this feeling of gratitude.

The best part? It’s no coincidence that your life is going so well. The common denominator is you. When the puzzle pieces of life fit together, it’s because you made it happen. With this, we realize that we also have the power to make it happen in every single moment. It isn’t always easy, but what makes that exciting is that it doesn’t always have to be. The hard moments can be beautiful too. They aren’t light and joyful, but they are deep and thoughtful. They push you past your limits and remind you that being human is a spectrum. You can’t have the light without the dark.

With any of these moments, you are the one that got yourself there. You put yourself out there when you met your soulmate. That’s not an easy thing to do. You bought the plane ticket that allows you to see the world. You did the inner work to push through the challenging moments and come back stronger on the other side. We can’t forget what went on behind the scenes of our beautifully aligned moments.

This isn’t to say that we are the only factor. Many people, things, and events take place every day that have unique and subtle (or not so subtle) effects on our lives. Maybe we are not the most important factor in the world. But, what we are is the center of our own universe.

How we work on ourselves matters. How we see the world dictates how we show up in it. And whatever mindset you look at your world through is projected outward. This is one of the many reasons that working on yourself is so important. We have the power to align our lives in a way that supports ourselves and others. We cannot show up as our best selves without doing the inner work, filling our cups.

So, when you have these moments of awe, joy, or gratitude for the alignment of your life, I want you to pause and celebrate yourself. You did the inner work to set yourself up internally. And you took the external steps to get to where you are. And that is something to be proud of.
